RenoDAT (Accelerating building RENOvation and decarbonization through DATa integration)



Summary

The main goal of the RenoDAT project is to accelerates energy renovations by addressing data governance, ownership, privacy, and harmonization gaps in the implementation of Building Renovation Passports. By uniting social, technical, pedagogic, and economic expertise, the project develops a reliable data infrastructure to improve renovation quality, streamline processes, and help meet critical climate and societal well-being goals in the Netherlands. The project started in autumn 2025 and is planned to finish in summer 2029.


Our role in the project

WP1 Leader (“Data requirements & Data Governance for the Renovation Passport”). Contribution to other WPs. Support to the case studies. Scientific dissemination.


Funding

The project is funded by the Dutch Research Counsil (NWO), in the framework of the Research programme on Digitalisation of Energy Renovations in the Built Environment, Mission-driven call (KIC 2020-2023).
