Camilo Leon is a new PhD candidate from Colombia that has joined our group.
He holds a MSc in Geodesy and Geoinformation Science from the Technical University of Berlin. His MSc thesis dealt with the estimation of electrical energy demand based on the adoption of 3d city models. He also has a MSc degree in Computer Science and Communications from the District University in Colombia.
Before joining our research group, he was working at the National University of Colombia in the master’s degree in Geomatics as well as at the cadastre bureau of Bogota in the Spatial Data Infrastructure department (IDECA) on the 3D city model of Bogota.
During his PhD he will be researching the potential of semantic 3D city models for energy-related applications.
