Leveraging multi-fidelity frameworks to predict wind in urban environments

As part of the REFMAP consortium, Clara and I will be working on the Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes [RANS] and multi-fidelity aspect of predicting wind in urban environments.

As part of this project we have thus far simulated flow around Delft University of Technology campus and the city center of Den Haag.

Unraveling the Turbulence Dynamics: Investigating Wave-Induced Turbulence over Corals

In this project, we aim to better understand how the effect of underlying coral roughness on the mean flow, turbulence, and wave-driven turbulence dynamics using CaNS, an efficient, scalable, direct numberical solver developed by Pedro Costa who very graciously invited me to contribute to the already well developed code. This project is funded by SuRFsara with 0.3 Million CPU hours and supported by the 3D-Geoinformation group at TU Delft. Thanks to Pedro and Clara for all the support!
