Day 1


  • Overview of the current relevant standards and technologies for 3D visualization on the web
  • Overview of the relevant existing web browser-based Virtual Globes for 3D Geo-Visualization
  • Introduction to Cesium Virtual Globe!
  • Practical exercises relating to:
    • 3D visualization on the web and
    • Cesium Virtual Globe

Day 2


  • An introduction of the workflow – How to create your own Cesium-based web application by using CityGML and 3DCityDB?
  • Practical exercises relating to:
    • Setting up 3DCityDB and installing its Import/Export tool
    • Import/Export of CityGML datasets
    • Export of KML/COLLADA/glTF and spreadsheet data
    • Integration of the exported KML/COLLADA/glTF and Spreadsheet data into the Cesium-based 3D web client shipped with 3DCityDB
