Welcome

I am an urban data scientist postdoctoral researcher at Delft University of Technology with a PhD in Urban Building Energy Modelling using Semantic 3D City Models and open data. My work explores the potential of open data and semantic 3D city models to enhance energy-related urban analyses, ranging from solar energy assessment to comprehensive evaluation of building energy performance. I integrate machine learning and geospatial analysis to harmonise and process large-scale heterogeneous datasets, enabling more accurate urban building energy modelling. My research addresses key challenges such as the integration of spatial and non-spatial data sources and the development of tools that link these data with urban energy simulation models.

How to get here

Research interests

My research interests focus on the integration and use of semantic 3D city models and open-access datasets, with particular emphasis on the development of data models for structured data management. My current work addresses energy applications in the context of Urban Building Energy Modelling (UBEM). I am interested in supervising or co-supervising MSc and doctoral research on topics related to these areas, as well as contributing to collaborative research projects aligned with my expertise.
