The City Hall on the Markt, Delft, The Netherlands
This 2-day event brings together different stakeholders — cities, industry, researchers, and developers — to share experiences and discuss the challenges and potentials of Urban Digital Twins (based on semantic 3D city models) as hubs of harmonised information, with a specific focus on urban energy modelling and energy-related applications in the built environment.
The goal is to share experiences, reason together on the current challenges and opportunities, and showcase some recent developments. Ultimately, the idea is to strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration between urban energy modelling and 3D city modelling experts, while also touching on the emerging role of Artificial Intelligence in this domain.
This event is organised by the 3D Geoinformation group at TU Delft. The CityGML Energy Application Domain Extension (or, in short: Energy ADE) is an internationally recognised extension of CityGML, an open standard for the representation, storage and exchange of virtual 3D city models. The Energy ADE builds upon it and provides standardised features and attributes to support energy-related applications such as building energy simulation at city scale. The latest version 3.0 is currently in active development as a joint effort between several international partners and already being tested in a number of projects.
Open to a broad audience of cities, users, industry, and researchers. Presentations and discussions on Urban Ditial Twins for energy applications.
A session specific for developers and technical experts working on the CityGML Energy ADE and related tools.
